2013 was an amazing year. I had the chance to visit thirteen countries. I flew around the whole world meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I tried new foods and learned new languages. I gain new perspective on life. I was stretched and challenged in every way possible. I saw every kind of injustice that happens on the earth. I was in brothels and orphanages. I made friends with drug addicts and prostitutes. I learned that people are just people and we all just want to be loved and valued. I learned that people are good. In Genesis 1:31 God looks at everything, including humans, and it is written that we are very good. "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." And in the mist of people selling other people, and murdering, and stealing from one another I have found that the earth is good. In every awful situation I have found at least one person who is trying to make a difference. It is just awesome to be able to see good people, from different backgrounds and religious all around the world... I also completed my bucket list, which is crazy because I am only twenty! #Jesustakethewheel
So what is 2014 going to be like...well on January 8th I will be meeting up with my team and finishing the PhotogenX track around the world! For the last six months we will be taking all the stories we have found and putting them together in a book! #cantwaititsgoingtobeamazing We will be stopping in two places in the USA: Tyler, Texas and Kona, Hawaii!
I do not really know what this year will hold but I am excited. It's a fresh season. I feel like my theme for 2014 is going to be "new". Now that I have completed my bucket list I have to think of new dreams and goals for my life, which should be interesting. I am also planning on growing more in my photography skills, and to pursue different areas in the arts.
I can't wait to see what my 2014 adventure will be. #iprayforfun
